Managed by the The Lewes Historical Society, the historic complex is comprised of nine restored buildings, created throughout the centuries in many architectural styles. Rabbits Ferry House, a farmhouse built in 1789, starts visitors on their explorations with tickets and tour information. From there, travelers can visit other properties, including the Doctor's Office, outfitted with medical and dental artifacts, the Plank House, an old settler's cabin, and the timber Burton-Ingram House, displaying antiques and period furnishings. Located in historic downtown Lewes along the riverfront, the complex hosts various community events including a five-kilometer race, an antique show and a craft fair.
