Great massage and haircut

Posted by AndrewDer on 9/18/2009

As a travel writer, I had occasion to visit the area for some off the beaten path experiences and on a whim decided I need some me time so off I went to sample the area's renowned full service spa. I have had numerous massages and haircuts but these were the best ever. Rudi (Teresa) found knots in my muscles I never knew I had. Her expertise and skill were so phenomenal, I went back again which turned out even better. She used just the right amount of pressure and was impressed with her knowledge of anatomy. At that visit I also put my hair in the hands of CJ who gave me the best haircut perfect (ok and color also). She actually matched up the color with sample chips similar to paint charts at Home Depot which I appreciated as a Tim Tayloresque connoisseur of hardware stores, power tools and home improvement. My hair never looked better and appreciated the 20 minute preliminary shampoo and scalp massage. The over the top customer service even included wine, tea, beer, coffee bar, water, and soda. Melody and Sara at the front desk were very helpful and helped me be at ease as I do not do "spa" very often. I do feel guilty about passing on the cucumbers, lotions and eyebrow waxing but I am a guy and little steps - sorry BHD - maybe next time.

too much $$

a bit chaotic atmosphere. Haircuts were good, tho and the shampoos are nice except noisy. The cement floor could use a little more cleaning. prices have gone up since i've been there. now they are $60 a cut.

Great, But Pricey

Bad Hair Day Salon may be the most popular place to get your hair cut in the Lewes and Rehoboth area. The service is great and the stylists give the best haircuts of any salon I have ever been to. In addition, they offer the little extras like water, wine, hand lotion, and even cucumbers for your eyes. The only drawback is that they tend to be on the expensive side and a simple haircut will run you at least forty-five dollars.
